If you believe in all those things above, I know someone who wants to sell you the Eiffel
Tower… 
But seriously folks...
First let me tell you a little about myself - and I am going to be extremely honest with you.
Today, I am trim and physically fit. But I have been skinny fat for most of my adult life. I just woke up one morning and
thought to myself, "I am SO fed-up with being tired all the time and disgusted that I can't seem to get the effort and energy to get myself in
healthy shape. Why can't I look like some powerful Greek God?
Now why would you care what I have to say? Good question... it's because I think the
overweight/obesity epidemic is getting worse and nobody seems to be doing anything about it.
Let me explain…
I believe it all started with my parents. You see, they grew up in poverty during the Great
Depression. Many people were extremely poor and had to live by their wits to survive. Many people lived in shantytowns called the
Hoovervilles. My mom and dad learned to be spend-thrifty, eat sensibly and walk everywhere... because you never know when the bad times will
come back.
And they taught those values to me and my brothers (sigh). You are probably
thinking, “Smart parents!” Well, no. Mom and dad were also very strict. We lived out in the country. Had to do farm chores everyday, only ate
three meals a day and were not allowed to watch much Tee-Vee (Yeah I know, what a tough life!).
In fact, I remember being envious of my friends because their parents allowed them to eat
whatever and whenever they wanted including lots of food with sugar and bad "fats" that we now know more about. Please don’t tell my dear sainted
mother this, but I actually thought my brothers and I were adopted -- because my Mom and Dad didn’t seem to love us as much as the other
parents!
But I was just a kid and you know how kids think… the truth of the matter was that little did
I know; this is exactly the kind of discipline you need to get a healthy and fit body. Don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise... they are
just scamming you!
And when I finally left home, I did what most people do... I ate all the bad stuff (junk
food, pizza and soda) and eschewed healthy balanced meals that I grew up on. So I basically traded a wiry and strong farm kid for a soft and
run-down adult. And I was only in my thirties!
Unfortunately, the modern sedentary lifestyle PLUS the unhealthy eating habits has lead to an historic epidemic of overweight
adults. Maintaining your weight and enjoying fitness exercise is definitely NOT for everyone. In fact, I would say that most diets are for
rabbits and anorexic fashion models. And I would also go on to say that most exercises
are cruel and unusual punishments that should be prohibited by the Constitution.It is just too damn bad that most
of the foods we love and crave… are making us larger and sicker each and every day.
You see, most diets don't work because
of the simple fact of low calories restriction. And yeah, at first you will lose some weight, then your body (and you knew this
was coming...) gets smarter -- WAY smarter than you. What happens next is as you "starve" yourself, your body starts saying, "oh-oh -- the bad
times are coming so we better start slowing down the body's metabolism so we can survive." This is just basic human physiology gleaned from
hundred of thousands of years of natural selection...
So what part of the body burns the most calories? If you say it is the muscles, you would be
right! You start losing muscles because they are a luxury that the body can no longer afford and the body hangs on to the body fat because it is
a store of energy that doesn't burn much calories.So we actually become fatter as we diet
because the body goes into the "starvation mode." Lose the muscles and keep the body fat.
That's messed up... right?
This is precisely the reason why after the initial weight loss, it starts getting
harder and harder to drop the pounds and then we quit the diet because it doesn't work anymore... that's right... it really doesn't
work!!!
As I mentioned before, the secret to losing body fat (which is what you
REALLY want to lose -- not just weight loss) is creating a small calorie deficit so that you gradually lose 1-2 pounds of fat each week.
It is a safe and permanant way to lose the stubborn body fat that you absolutely hate...
So what we need is some sort of weight loss program that tells us exactly which workout
routines and which sensible foods to eat that will give us energy and burn fat at the same time. I won't tell you to buy anything because you are
the final judge of what is best for you. However, I can tell you that I think I found some eBooks for you that will definitely help you make the
