2 Tips For
Losing Belly Fat
For the New Moms...
The no-nonsense book for Women
who want their pre-baby body back...
Written by the author of The Fit Yummy Mummy -- Holly Rigsby, CPT
I'm betting that you have tried everything out there to flatten your tummy and none of those new fangled gimmicks that you see on late night
TV, junk mail or magazines worked... am I right?
Well, I am going to give you 2 tips for losing belly fat that is going to help you melt off
the fat and show your toned and flat stomach again!
Tip 1...
Eat right. No really... This is probably one of the most misunderstood and overlooked reason why most adults are either overweight or obese.
And being a new Mom isn't helping at all either.
You see, we are just overwhelmed with all this information directed at us... blaring from TV and the radios. Newsprint and magazines screaming
all these "ideas" that are going to flatten your stomach. Such as low-fat diets, low-carb diets, the latest Hollywood star diet, the latest fruit
diet and so on...
It is just getting ridiculous!
Up to 10,000 years ago, the cavemen and cavewomen didn't worry about that stuff. They just found foods that was available and ate it.
That simple...
Let me explain - there were no soda pop, chips, candies and double-decker Chocolate cake!
But if you eat the right proteins, the right carbs and the right fats, you WILL get your pre-baby body back. It won't be super fast but
gradually, your body will become the shape it was designed to be -- a toned body and flat tummy.
It is all about moderation and balance. Diets on the other hand cuts your carbs and fats which will temporarily cause you to lose a couple of
pounds but your METABOLISM will drop and it will be near impossible to continue losing weight.
So what is the correct eating habits you must follow? It's simple and easy --. 4-6 small meals a day to rev up your metabolism. And definitely
eat your breakfast!
Tip 2...
The second tip to lose your belly fat is RESISTANCE TRAINING! Again, most information you hear or read about exercises is based on pure junk
science. I am talking about spot reduction and cardio training.
Those methods of exercises are based on a myth and here is why...
Let's take spot reduction. That is the believe if you focused your training on one part of your body, that part will get toned and trim.
WRONG!!! For instance, have you ever bought one of those situp machines they always sell on the infocomericals?
Come on admit it. Everybody has! And how did that work out for you? Didn't work... right?
It is absurd to expect that you will get a flat and toned stomach while still having fat arms and legs. Your body doesn't work that way. Your
whole body has to lose the fat BEFORE you will see your toned stomach. No exceptions!
Now let's talk about cardio exercises. It is a myth dreamed up by the treadmill manufacturers to sell their expensive equipment. Fat burning
zones and plodding on these machines for hours is not only boring but a complete waste of time.
The only toned and muscular people you see on the treadmills didn't get that body there... no... they got it doing resistance training. Using
body weight exercises or using free weights.
You see, resistance training also revs up your metabolism so it keeps on going even after you are done working out for the day. Also, building
up muscles will burn more fat that fat alone will. In fact, some studies have shown the resistance training keeps your metabolism elevated for 36
hours after a training session!
I'll tell you this, you WON'T get that from an aerobic class!
There you go, use these two tips for losing your belly fat and sooner rather than later, you are going to see a toned and flat tummy when you
stand in front of the mirror again. You are on your way to becoming a Fit Yummy
Mummy!
