Turbulence Training for Fat Loss

So far in 2008, Tiger Woods is off to an incredible start. He won 3 tournaments in 3 starts. In baseball parlance... Tiger Woods is batting 1.00. And then Tiger Woods did it again this past weekend, winning just another tournament. And it is no surprise Tiger is enjoying all this success because he trains hard for physical strenth and mobility.

And if you look at him on the TV or his current pictures in the Golf magazines... you will notice that he has gained muscle weight. And his arms look like Mark McGwires... But Tiger Woods does not need to "enhance" his performance with Steroids!

As a result of Tiger Woods' hard work and training... he is just dominating his sport. In fact, another well-known golfer, Phil Mickelson is starting to exercise and lose fat around his middle. I'm betting Phil feels a lot better because he lost 20 pounds of blubber.

I would absolutely love to see Tiger Woods workouts. I'm betting it isn't fancy or Tiger was using some super-duper secret golfing exercises. I'm betting his workout routines are just basic strength building workouts. Because he can't do those "bodybuilding" routines without sacrificing mobility -- which would ruin his game.

So what kind of exercise routines does a "Tiger Woods" have to do? Does he do cardio or interval training for fat loss?

For the rest of us ordinary mortals... strength training and interval training is the best way to go to improve our golfing game...

The best things that I recommend you to do is:

Use bodyweight exercises to work on your strength and mobility. It can either be your warmup or even your entire workout! You don't have to be a powerlifter to be an good golfer.

So start off with the basics: pushups, bodyweight squats, inverted bodyweight rows, stick-ups, lunges and the plank and side plank for your abs.

And after you get pretty good with those... move on to spiderman pushups, spiderman climbs, mountain climbers, one-leg romanian deadlifts, stability ball leg curls, hanging leg raises, pullups, chinups and decline pushuups.

Whew!

By this time you should really be exhausted, huh? But there's more! There are dozens, if not hundreds of bodyweight exercises that you can do to burn your fat, get stronger and improve your full range of mobility. You cannot help but hit the golf ball longer and more accurately on the golf course.

The best part? You will leave your golfing buddies in your dust!

Another benefits of this training regiment is increased stamina and focus that you can maintain later in the game. Imagine your friends dropping out like flies and you are confidentally smashing those golf balls like you just started your 1st hole.

Common sense will just tell you this but you SHOULD combine this training with good nutrition habits to the maximum effect.

Other tips would be to work with a good golf coach to identify your weaknesses. Such as is your lack of hip mobility messing up your swing? Is your work posture ruining your shoulder mobility?

And back to nutrition. Eat right for fat loss and mental energy -- so you can increase your endurance on the golf course. Truth be told, I really believe this is Tiger Woods' biggest advantage. You see, Tiger Woods kicks everyone's ass because he is in better shape to last longer in the tournament. While everyone is flagging and slowing down... Tiger Woods keeps on hitting those winnning shots!

And if you watch Tiger Woods during the tournaments, you will see him snacking at various points in the day. And he ain't eating junk foods like many of his fellow golfers. No sir! He knows that eating good quality foods helps his body recover between rounds and between workouts.

So if you follow the training and nutrition tips that I just pointed out that Tiger Woods must be doing... You'll have a much better body, you'll burn that fat, and you'll golf like a champ. And you are going to be so surprised that using your bodyweight alone can give you better results than using free weights or machine weight machines.

I won't say that you will golf exactly like Tiger Woods if you do these things... nobody can... Tiger Woods is very special... and we are so fortunate to be in his generation... but you WILL notice an improvement to your golf game... and so will your envious golfing buddies!

See you at the 19th hole!
